Domain expiry monitors
Never lose a domain to a missed renewal again.
A domain expiry monitor watches your domain's registration date — not its DNS or its website — and warns you before it lapses. A forgotten renewal can take down everything at once, so this is one of the highest-value monitors you can add.
The days-remaining count is shown on the monitor, and the alert arrives long
before it reaches zero.
Domain monitors are available on Pro, Business and MSP.
Setting it up
- Target — the domain, e.g.
example.com.
What it tracks
- Days until the registration expires.
- The registrar on record.
We look this up from the authoritative registry for each domain, so the number is accurate and current.
Expiry alerts
Like SSL monitors, you get a warning reminder (default 14 days out) and a critical reminder (default 7 days out) so a renewal never sneaks up on you.
Good to know
- A handful of top-level domains don't publish machine-readable expiry data. If yours is one of them, the monitor may not be able to report a date — everything else still works.
- This is separate from your SSL monitor: domains and certificates expire on their own schedules, so watch both.
