The day you go live is the day a broken sign-up page costs the most. Switch on Business features for the 72 hours around your launch, then go back to your plan.
Business features on the account you already have. These are the ones that matter most on a day like this. Not included: Business text message credits (texts use your own plan's), and on Free and Hobby, monitor packs or extra seats.
Up to 100 monitors
Add every page, server and job this week depends on, not only the ones your plan has room for.
30-second checks
Set a monitor to check as often as every 30 seconds, so a problem shows up sooner.
Alerts in your team chat
Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Google Chat, or a webhook of your own, as well as email.
A second contact
If nobody acknowledges an outage within the time you set, we email a second person. Business includes it; on Free, Hobby and Pro it is also an extra, $3 a month.
A status page for customers
A public page you can point customers at during an incident, with our badge removed if you prefer.
Every check type
Check-ins for backups and other jobs, UDP checks, domain renewal reminders, and step-by-step checks that walk through pages like a customer.
The Business AI allowance
AI write-ups after an alert with the likely cause and what to check first, from the Business allowance. What your account already used this month still counts.
How it works
1
Pick when it starts
Now, or any date and time in the next 30 days. You pick it in your own time zone, and we show it in UTC too.
2
72 hours of Business
Business features are on from that moment for 72 hours. Your plan and its billing are not changed.
3
One email before the end
About an hour before it ends we send one email: when it ends, what will pause, and how to keep everything.
4
Back to your plan
Then your account goes back to the plan you were on. Nothing renews, and nothing is deleted.
When the pass ends
Your account goes back to the plan you were on. Nothing is deleted. What changes:
Monitors you added during the pass that take you over your plan's monitor limit are paused, newest first. You can resume them once you are back under your plan's limit, or upgrade.
Checks faster than your plan allows slow to your plan's fastest: every 5 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Hobby and every minute on Pro.
Step-by-step checks beyond your plan's step allowance are paused. Free and Hobby include none, apart from checkout journeys you hold as an extra, which keep running.
Team members beyond your plan's seats lose access until there is a seat for them. They are not removed.
Business features stop: the second contact, removing our badge from your status page, and the shareable client reports for monitor groups, unless an extra you hold covers it (below). On Free and Hobby your public status page goes offline too, because status pages start on Pro.
On Free and Hobby, what those plans do not include pauses: UDP, check-in and domain monitors, Slack, Teams, Discord, Google Chat and webhook alerts (email alerts carry on), quiet hours and weekly maintenance windows. A monitor with a check region you chose runs from our default region. Each comes back as it was when you upgrade.
Extras you hold keep working: the Second contact extra keeps emailing your second person, and Status page on your domain keeps your page online, on your domain and without our badge.
Upgrade to Business or MSP while the pass runs and the pass ends at that moment, with nothing paused.
Launch Pass: $19 for 72 hours
One payment, no subscription. It never renews and never turns into a plan. If you want Business to stay, it is $49 a month.
Questions
Does it renew?
No. One payment of $19 covers 72 hours. It never turns into a subscription, and we never charge your card again for it.
Can I choose when it starts?
Yes: now, or any date and time in the next 30 days. If a new pass would overlap one you already have, it starts when that one ends.
What happens to my plan?
Nothing. Your plan and its billing stay as they are, and the pass is a separate payment. If you change plan during the pass, to anything other than Business or MSP, the new plan is the one you go back to.
What is not included?
Two things. Text messages use your own plan's credits, not Business's. And on Free and Hobby you cannot buy monitor packs or extra team seats: those are added to a Pro, Business or MSP plan.
Who can buy it?
The account owner, on Free, Hobby or Pro. Business and MSP already include everything in it.
Will you remind me?
Once, by email, about an hour before the end. It says when the pass ends, what will pause, and how to keep everything with Business for $49 a month.
