This is everything the UptimeTwin connector can do. You don't call these by name — you just ask your assistant in plain language, and it picks the right action. Every action runs on your own account only, using the access level of the token you connected with.

## Reading (any token)

These work with a **read-only** or **read & write** token.

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| List monitors | Shows all your monitors with their current status and settings. |
| Get a monitor | The full detail of one monitor — target, type, status, interval, thresholds, region. |
| List incidents | Your most recent incidents: what went down, whether it recovered, and the error. |
| Uptime summary | A quick count of how many monitors are up, down, or paused. |

## Making changes (read & write token)

These need a **read & write** token. A read-only token will politely refuse them.

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create a monitor | Adds a monitor. Types: HTTP, ping, SSL, DNS, TCP, UDP, domain expiry, heartbeat. |
| Update a monitor | Changes a monitor's name, target, check interval, region, or alert thresholds. |
| Pause a monitor | Stops its checks and alerts until you resume it. |
| Resume a monitor | Starts checking a paused monitor again. |
| Run a check now | Checks a monitor immediately instead of waiting for its next scheduled check. |
| Add a webhook alert | Adds a Slack, Discord, Teams, Google Chat, or generic webhook alert channel. These channels are on Pro, Business and MSP; on Free and Hobby the connector politely refuses. |

## The limits still apply

Anything you do through the connector follows the same rules as the dashboard:

- Your plan's **monitor limit** and **fastest check interval** — [see plans](/docs/account/plans-and-limits).
- Which **monitor types** and **check regions** your plan includes.
- The same safety checks on targets and webhook URLs.

So a connector can't get you around a plan limit — it's just a faster way to do what you could already do.

## What it can't do

- **Delete a monitor.** No token, on any plan, can delete. Deleting is always done by you in the dashboard.
- **Touch another account.** A token only ever sees the account it belongs to.
- **Change your plan, billing, or account settings.** Those stay in the dashboard.
- **Set up an email second-contact.** Email contacts have to confirm themselves, so those are added in the dashboard.
